Welcome to TUSD! I am grateful to be part of the beautiful community of Tehachapi and honored to serve as the Tehachapi Unified School District Superintendent. As a District team, our mission is to provide all students with uncompromised excellence in academic instruction as well as guidance to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and character to be successful, contributing, and positive citizens.  We are dedicated to our Governing Board’s goals:

For the 2024-2025 school year, our theme is “We are TUSD”. This message is meant to convey TUSD’s dedication to working together on behalf of the students and families we serve.  It was Helen Keller who is credited with saying, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”  

TUSD staff members are committed to bringing their very best every day to serve the students and families of TUSD.

YOU are part of our team too. Strong partnerships with families and the community are essential to the success of our students. I encourage you to become involved in any way that you can, whether it be by volunteering in one of our schools, attending a Tehachapi High School sporting event, or staying connected to the latest school and District updates by signing up for ParentSquare. It is also critical for families to stay up to date on their student’s academic progress by signing up for Aeries Parent Portal, where they can check in on their student's grades and progress.
